Les deux rameaux perforants sont bien visibles, celui de T12 en avant et celui de L1 au dessus du trochanter. Leur territoire cutané ne s'étand pas plus bas que ce dernier. Il s'agit d'une variété courte.

This is a right lateral view of two dissctions. T: greater trochanter, EI: anterior superior iliac spine. Both perforating rami are well visible, the one of T12 (subcostal nerve) anteriorly and the one of L1 (iliohypogastric nerve) posteriorly, above the trochanter. Their cutaneous distrbution does not extend beyond this later. It is a short variety of the nerves.

La crête iliaque est marquée par des épingles de couleur. Dans les deux cas, le nerf descend plus de 10 cm au delà du trochanter. Une telle longueur n'est pas décrite dans les traités classiques.

The iliac crest is marked with color needles. In both cases, the nerve runs more than 10 cm beyond the trochanter. Such an extent is not described in the textbooks.

Il y a une anastomose entre les deux perforantes (au dessus de la crête). Le plus long rameau n'atteint pas le trochanter (indiquant une variante courte).
